Michel Coeli
Michel Coeli is a director, documentarian, and photographer whose passion for visual storytelling and commitment to humanitarian and environmental issues have been the cornerstones of his career. He graduated in cinema from the Darcy Ribeiro Film School. Coeli was the creator and director of the series “Que Mundo É Esse,” broadcasted on GloboNews and GloboPlay. In 2013, during the protests that swept Brazil, he produced the short film “No Olho do Furacão,” which opened the 2014 FIFDH (International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights). He was part of the directing team for the soap opera “Boogie Oogie” (TV Globo), revamped and directed the “Projeto Estrelas do Brasil” (TV Globo), hosted by Angélica, and was one of the directors of the weekly program “Caldeirão do Huck” (TV Globo). In 2021, he directed the documentary “Domingão com Huck, a história da história” (GloboPlay). In 2024, he debuted his first feature film titled “Sinfonia da Sobrevivência.” The film delves into the devastating consequences of the disaster in the Pantanal between 2020 and 2021, when the biome was severely affected by drought and fires. Currently, Michel has been focusing his attention on humanitarian and environmental issues in Brazil and South America.
